For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard. Acts 4:20
I love that verse above. Imagine being so passionate about what you’ve seen, so filled with the Spirit of God that no matter the pressure or condemnation, you just have to speak out about Jesus. I mean, Peter and John were basically saying to the religious court that, “You can beat us, you can lock us up, you can threaten to kill us, but we just can’t stop talking about Jesus.”
As Christ followers, we have been commissioned by Jesus to: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” We need to be passionate about what Jesus is passionate about and that is people. I pray that we become a church that is reckless in sharing the Gospel with a lost and broken world. We have great, good news to share.
Today, take the first step and pray for those you know that don’t know Jesus. Ask God to give you the words that help you lead them to Christ. See you Sunday.
