We are very excited about a village that is on the way to La Montana de La Flor, home of the Tolupanes, called Rio Arribas. This village, is a two hour and 20 minute drive from Cantarranas where I’m based. Having visited this village one week earlier with two groups from the states, one led by Pastor Don Stone with Providence Bapt Church and the other led by Pastor Donald C. Prosser with Lumpkin Road Baptist Church, to distribute food, the Lord allowed a second visit the following week with the group from Hammond led by Pastor Rick Torres. It was at this time that a number of people gathered for the sharing of the Gospel. This included a number of men which is a blessing because often times men avoid these opportunities. During the visit a desire for a church was expressed by a several of the people there. For me, personally, I was able to share my testimony with several of the young men.
Jon Helms and I are getting ready to go back there as God has opened a door to establish a ministry in Rio Ariba. Please keep us in your prayers for this and all the work that is before us.
