This year the retreat is being structured differently. Instead of 5 or 6 days, it is being held on a weekend ( Friday, July 19th and returning Sunday morning, July 19th in time for the morning service). They will be renting a large cabin in Blue Ridge, Georgia, a place rich in the beauty of nature.
The basic theme is Teen Check List for Life, preparing teens spiritually (developing a consistent prayer life, church life and Bible study) so they will remain faithful to God in the future as well as in the present.
They have been doing yard work and house maintenance for some of the widows of our church and they also will be selling popcorn again this year and doing a car wash closer to the time of the retreat.
Let’s encourage our youth leaders and youth in any way we can. This is not only an investment in them, but also an investment in the future of our church.
