Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

Personal Revival through Prayer

Last night we started our week of prayer services in preparing for our Revival this weekend. Before any great movement of God, there has been prayer, prayer, prayer.

PRAYER IS SIMPLY COMMUNICATING WITH GOD.

So why People Don’t Pray More?

  1. Not sure how to pray.
  2. Get bored or distracted while trying to pray.
  3. Think requests are too small for God.
  4. Not sure prayers will make a difference.
  5. Something in our life is blocking God from moving freely

Confession of sin is necessary for fellowship with God and revival among God’s people.

To confess is agreeing with God about your sin. The Psalmist says this,

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test my thoughts. Point out anything in me that makes you sad, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” Psalm 139:23-24

And the book of John says this,

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness”. John 1:9

Last evening we prayed about a personal revival in our lives, asking God to remove any obstacles that may inhibit His Spirit to flow freely and bring about revival in our lives, our homes, our relationships, our communities and in our church.

I invite you to join us this week in a community time of prayer as we cry out to God for revival. From 6:30 to 7:00, I am available to pray with you individually. At 7:00, we will begin a time of worship, followed by a time of personal reflection and a time of praying. I encourage you to seek out God and to bring revival to Three Point.
