Friday night October 25th at 6:30 is our annual hoedown and each one is more fun than the one before.
If you think church is boring and stiff and no fun at all, you will have all your preconceptions about church proven wrong after attending the Rootin’ Tootin’ Hoedown.
We’ll start with homemade chili made by various church members with all the fixins’, cornbread, crackers, drinks and cookies. Sandra DeVane is once again providing the trail mix bar with lots of candy and snacks.
We’ll have a country band to keep things movin’ and Sandra DeVane will be singing lots of the old favorites. And then to work off some of those calories, there will be line dancing led by our pastor, Paul Cook. (I didn’t know he was a talented dancer too) If you’re like me, you’ll laugh so much that by the end of the night no matter how “blue” you might have been coming in, you’ll be floating as you leave.
We’ll also have baskets filled with lots of beautiful and fun things. These are being contributed by our generous and talented ladies. They will be raffled off and the proceeds will be used for our Love Makes Me Do it dinner we have every Christmas for children who attend local elementary schools with their families who are in need.
So, you can see that you don’t want to miss the fun at our annual Hoedown. We’ll miss you if you miss it!
