Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

Stir One Another

Often as Christ followers, we are concerned about our own walk with God. We focus on our quiet time, our prayer time, and how we can best live like Christ in today’s world. But the author of Hebrews lays down a challenge to all believers: “… let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works” (Hebrews 10:24.)

What if we dedicated a few moments―every day, every week, every month―to look at ourselves, our families, our friends, our communities, our church and allowed ourselves to consider others? I would encourage you to pray and listen for the Holy Spirit. Be still. Consider the question of how you might encourage “love and good works” in your family, among your friends, in your community.
