Some people are really good at looking at a piece of junk and finding a treasure. They understand its worth and know how to restore it to its former glory.
God is like that. He takes us “as is” – our sinful, broken self – and sees our worth, even when we don’t see it ourselves. Jesus begins to restore and make us new.
