Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

God, Redeemer, and Mediator

We began a study of the Gospel of John. At the outset, John, an eyewitness to all that was happening, wants us to know the identity of Jesus. John tells us that Jesus is the Word that became flesh. In the first few verses of Chapter 1, we see Jesus as God, Redeemer, and our Mediator.

As God, all things are created by and through Him. As our Redeemer, He came to reconcile us to God the Father. As our Mediator, Jesus is both fully God and fully Man – He is a wonderful counselor. Because of this unique role, Jesus can intercede on our behalf because He knows us and our struggles.

Spend some time exploring the first Chapter of John and allow Jesus to reveal Himself to you.
