Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

Created for Relationships

In Genesis 2:18, God says that it is not good for man to be alone. God in His infinite wisdom knew it was not good to be alone and so He created a helper. Someone to share responsibilities, comfort, confront, and encourage.

Today, however, we have changed that. We say it is better to do it ourselves, refusing help when offered because it makes us appear weak. Even our advancements in technology have unintentionally created a space of isolation where we can distance ourselves from actually being present with others. This is so contrary to what God had planned for mankind.

Not only do we need good relationships for ourselves, we also need to provide that to others. One of the best places I know where we can live this community out is in the church. The church can be a great place for growth, support, fellowship – but only if we are gathered together.

I want to encourage you to plug in and see how this community of faith can help us live a better life.
