Be Still

“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

We live in a world that rarely stops. Our days are filled with noise – emails, traffic, conversations, endless to-do lists. Even our “quiet moments” are often filled with screens and scrolling. But in the middle of all of this “noise,” God invites us into stillness.

“Be Still” doesn’t mean to stop moving. It means to let go – to release control, to stop striving, and to rest in the presence of the One who holds all things together. When we slow down long enough to quiet our hearts, we begin to sense His voice again.

Jesus Himself often withdrew from the crowds to pray. If the Son of God needed quiet space with the Father, how much more do we? Rest isn’t weakness; it’s worship. When we are still, we declare that God is God – He is in control – and we are not.
