Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

Don’t interpret heaven by earth. Interpret earth by heaven.

In Daniel Chapter 7, Daniel wants to understand the beasts. That’s understandable. We want answers too. We want to know: What will happen? When will it happen? How will it turn out? But the most important truth in the chapter isn’t the identity of every beast. It’s the identity of the King.

Sometimes we become so interested in prophecy that we miss the purpose of prophecy. God doesn’t reveal the future merely to satisfy curiosity.

He reveals enough to produce faithfulness.

Are we spending more energy trying to understand everything that is happening than trusting the God who already understands it?

Don’t interpret heaven by earth. Interpret earth by heaven.

RESOLVE — Daniel 1 – I know who I belong to.

STAND — Daniel 3 – God is able, God is good, and God is worthy.

PRAY — Daniel 6 – I will build faithfulness before the crisis comes.

HOPE — Daniel 7 – The throne is not empty.

Earth may look chaotic, but heaven is not. The throne is not empty. Jesus is King. His Kingdom will never pass away.

Look at the throne. Whatever changes around you, REMAIN UNSHAKEN. Because you belong to an unshakable King.
