Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

Contend for the Faith

Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. Jude 3

What you believe determines how you behave.

Our beliefs affect us relationally, morally, financially and spiritually. In our culture today, what looks true, sounds true, feels true is based more on each person’s experience rather than scriptural truth and often is under the guise of tolerance. However, the Bible is a non-negotiable truth

Jude, the half-brother of Jesus, is writing this letter describing what is happening in the early church. Like today, many differing thoughts and philosophies were slipping into the church and causing confusion and apostasy. Jude is writing to the believers and exhorting them to fight for the faith.
