Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

Freedom in the Spirit

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Galatians 5:16-18

What does a Christian look like? How do you really know if someone is really a Christ follower?

In this section of his letter to the church in Galatia, Paul urged the Galatians to keep trusting Christ, who has done what the law cannot. He contrasts the spirit of the flesh with the Spirit of Christ, showing us that true freedom comes only through the work of Jesus and the Spirit and not in our works or efforts.
