In this passage from John 14, Jesus gives three big ideas: 1) Jesus and the Father are One; 2) If we love Him, we will obey His commands – follow His Word; and 3) Though He is leaving soon (going back to the Father), He will not leave us as orphans. He has promised to send a helper – the Holy Spirit.
