Jesus didn’t just bring a cross to reconcile us to God, but He brought a distinctly different kingdom from the world we live in. Jesus isn’t just a point in the Bible. Jesus is the point of the Bible.
While the religious rulers were trying to discredit Him and His believers, Jesus reminded them that even the smallest dot or mark of God’s law will stand true. The Bible is authoritative. Jesus is saying that He doesn’t just follow the Laws – He came to fulfill the Law! The whole Bible testifies about Jesus.
Citizens of God’s Kingdom will manifest a different kind of obedience. Not on the outside but from the inside out. They will live not just the letter of the law but the spirit of the law.
