Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:14-15
We are all devoted to something. Kids, work, money, entertainment, something. To whom or what are you devoted to? What are your beliefs? These are driven by what we follow or worship. Jesus came and wanted to re-align what we are devoted to, what we worship, what we follow.
Jesus presents an opportunity for us to realize His kingdom is at hand and our response is to repent from our selves and believe in the Gospel.
