“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.” John 14:15
James, in his book, doesn’t soften his words when he speaks of obedience. He tells us that if we hear the Word and believe the Word, then we need to do what the Word says.
“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.” James 1:22
Obedience is not how we earn God’s love, but how we respond to God’s love. Small acts of obedience done consistently produce deep spiritual stability.
