Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

Rooted In The Word

1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:1-3

Everyone is being shaped by a “voice.” The News, Social Media, Opinions, Outrage, Self-Help, and Cultural narratives cry out for us to follow them. The question is not if we are being formed – but who or what is doing the forming.

God speaks to us clearly through His Word and roots, stabilizes, and shapes us, cutting through the “noise” of the world. More than information, more than checking a box, His Word reveals truth, exposes lies, renews our thinking, and strengthens our faith.
