Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

The God Who Sings

The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

Zephaniah 3:17

What do you think God thinks about you? Is he happy with you? Is he disappointed? Does he put up with you? Another question; what can you do about it? How can you influence what God thinks about you?

What do you do when you realize that you are a far greater sinner than you had realized, and that God is far more angry at sin than we could dream? Rejoice! Our great God has dealt with both our guilt and shame.

Guilt says we have done something wrong, and shame says there is something wrong with us. Our holy God, the God who punishes sin, has taken away our judgments; he lives among us; he loves and delights in us; he gathers all those who are weary and worn out. So, rejoice!
