Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more? You observe days and months and seasons and years! I am afraid I may have labored over you in vain. Galatians 4:8-11
The book of Galatians is all about how we can be right with God. Paul wrote this letter to remind us that being right with God is about believing, not achieving.
Acceptance with God comes by faith alone on the basis of what Christ did on the cross.

It doesn’t make sense to go back to the law as a means of salvation when we have discovered the riches of God’s grace. The only reason to go back would be because we don’t appreciate what we have in Christ.
In Galatians 3:15-4:11 we discover seven promises God makes to every believer.
