Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. John 13:1
How much did Jesus know of what was going to happen to Him? All of it. He knew what was in the heart of men. He knew “that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God”
Jesus knew his time of trial, and he loved his own, thinking of them, teaching and encouraging them to the end.
Jesus knew his position, power, and authority, thinking of and serving His disciples to the end.
Jesus knew his betrayer, and loved him, warning him to the end. Jesus knew that His closest friends would deny Him, and walk away from Him – and yet He would restore them and use them to build His church.
And… Jesus knows us intimately. He knows our doubts, our fears, our trials, and our temptations… and He is there at each step of our journey. Jesus truly is a wonder savior – He knows you, do you know Him?
