Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. Ephesians 4:3-7, 11-13
Jesus wants us to be a part of His body. Jesus wants us to – but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians says to “make every effort” because it requires work – effort. Unity does not happen automatically. In fact, it is very difficult most of the time.
A big reason that Jesus wants us to be an active part of a unified body of believers is because it shows that He is real – that God really did send His Son to save the world.
