3…‘The survivors there in the province who escaped captivity are in great trouble and shame; the wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been destroyed by fire.’ 4 When I heard these words I sat down and wept, and mourned for days, fasting and praying before the God of heaven. Nehemiah 1:3-4
Every now and then there’s something you look at and say, No! I’m not going to tolerate that! Somebody has got to do something about this, it might as well be me! In the Book of Nehemiah, he hears that the temple in Jerusalem is still in ruins and the wall is destroyed. He mourns, weeps, kneels, prays, and then he gets up and acts.
For us today, we see how God can take an ordinary person like Nehemiah, and fill him with passion for His work. What is it that God has made you passionate about?
