This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. James 3:15
In this passage, James is setting up a comparison between two kinds of wisdom – earthly and Godly.
True Wisdom is from above and is characterized by humility and meekness. It is selfless and serving
False Wisdom is jealous, bitter, and selfish. It says to follow your heart and emotions – whatever you feel is alright. It seeks pleasure, power, and possessions.
Jesus is the wisdom from God. He says that He is the way the truth and the life. Faith in Jesus connects us to a life of wisdom, a life of peace, and a life of fulfillment. Are we listening to the voice of Jesus or are we listening to the voices of the crowd?
