How many horror stories per day does it take to remind us that we need to be praying more and more? Civil unrest, rising prices, scarcity of consumables, etc… We, also hear daily from our friends in Ukraine about the Russian invasion. Elsewhere around the world, many people and nations are afraid of the uncertainty facing them each day. War and rumors of war.
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Matthew 24:6-13
The Elders have committed to tithe 10% of our monthly giving to invest in missions and benevolences. For January and February, we will be sending money to help with Ukrainian aid. Many churches in Poland are housing and caring for refugees that are pouring into their country. The money we send is going directly to aid in diapers, food, shelter, and other necessities.
We really are a blessed nation. We complain about our gas prices and so many things but in reality, we are not experiencing anything compared to the devastation that is going on in Ukraine. Many families are fleeing while the men stay and fight. Churches are housing people in sanctuaries, church basements, and in members homes. Some Polish men are slipping across the border to help in the fight against Russia.
I would like for you to prayerfully consider giving something above and beyond your normal giving to help the people of Ukraine.
