8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 2 Peter 3:8-9
For Peter’s audience – and us today, we need to be reminded that Jesus will fulfill all of His promises. God has His timetable and it is not ours. He is not slow because He is weak or impotent, but rather because He is kind, loving, merciful, and wants all to come to repentance.
Knowing then, that Jesus will come back, how should we as Kingdom people live in the present?
