Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

Too Busy

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

So many are trying to do way more than we probably should.  Because of that, most of us are often overwhelmed.  We’re in a hurry.  We’re rushed.  We’re late. Too many activities, too many commitments, and being stretched too thin leave us out of shape physically, out of sorts emotionally, out of touch relationally, and out of order spiritually.

Do we really believe that God’s intention for us is to be consistently overwhelmed, overburdened, and stressed out?  Something is wrong.

Jesus, in Matthew 11, has the plan to help us remove this “craziness” from our lives.
