There are some things you don’t really know about yourself until pressure comes. It’s easy to say: “I trust God.” Until something happens that tests that trust. It’s easy to say: “Prayer matters.” Until the schedule gets full. Until you’re disappointed. Until God seems silent. Until prayer itself starts costing you something.
That’s where we find Daniel in chapter 6. Years have passed. Kings have come and gone. Governments have changed. Daniel has watched Babylon rise and fall. But one thing has remained consistent: Daniel is still faithful. Daniel’s prayer life shows us that the courage people see in public is usually built through faithfulness nobody sees in private.
