5 But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Matthew 28:5–6
He is risen. The tomb is empty. The grave is defeated. Jesus is alive. This is not just a line we say once a year. This is the defining truth of our faith. Everything we believe, everything we preach, everything we hope for stands or falls on this moment.
- If Jesus is still in the grave, then Christianity is just a good idea.
- If Jesus is still in the grave, then sin still wins.
- If Jesus is still in the grave, then death has the final word.
But if Jesus walked out of that tomb… Then everything changes.
