Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

Love To The End

Before the cross… before the nails… before the darkness… Jesus kneels. The King of Kings takes off His outer garment, wraps a towel around His waist, and begins to wash His disciples’ feet. This wasn’t symbolic to them—it was shocking. Foot washing was reserved for the lowest servant in the household. And yet Jesus chooses the lowest place.

He kneels before:

  • Peter, who will deny Him
  • Thomas, who will doubt Him
  • The others, who will abandon Him
  • Even Judas… who will betray Him

And He washes their feet. This is love that kneels. Not love that demands. Not love that controls. Not love that waits for worthiness. But love that stoops.
